Pisco - Chopicalqui

Pisco West (5752 m)

Pisco is one of the most popular climbs in the Cordillera Blanca with its relatively easy ascent and 360 degree panorama of the surrounding peaks.

Chopicalqui and Southridge (6354 m)

This is one of the classic climbs in the Cordillera Blanca. The climb to the summit with spectacular surrounding views makes this a highly recommended route. From the 5300m ridge, you can observe all of the lights of the Callejon de Huaylas.

 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Huaraz - Cashapampa 2990m. - Llamacorral 3850m (Six hours).

Day 2: Llamacorral - Base Camp 4200m (Seven hours).

Day 3: Base Camp - High Camp 5300m (Eight hours).

Day 4: High Camp - Summit 5947m - High Camp (Nine hours).

Day 5: High Camp - Base Camp (Five hours).

Day 6: Base Camp - Llamacorral (Six hours).

Day 7: Llamacorral - Cashapampa - Huaraz (Six hours).
